We're really excited here at FilmLoop about our all new site: http://www.filmloop.com. Over the past year, hundreds of thousands of users have shared their Loops with us. Now we can show them off properly. Take a tour around.

How to submit Loops to FilmLoop.com

Once you've made your Loop, simply turn ON the "Public" flag: 

FilmLoop 2.0 users for Windows: In the Studio View, choose "View/Set Options" from the Share menu. Shows the Loop Options and Members Dialog. Check on the "Public" box.

FilmLoop Macintosh users: Ctrl-click on your Loop and Choose "Loop Options and Members". Check on the "Public" box.

Searching Loops

Since we launched in November of 2005, there have been literally millions of Loops made.  Some of those Loops have been marked as "public", which means their owners said it was OK to list them on our public network.  We've also made a fair few Loops ourselves.

Now you can search through these Loops. Go to www.filmloop.com and click on "Search" in the top menu bar.  You'll find some seriously fun gems in there. Have fun!

Add the Halloween Loop to your Blog!

If you want to add the Halloween Loop to your blog, feel free. Copy and paste the code inside this text file -- but don't change anything! If you want to adjust size, speed, colors, etc. you'll need to open in FilmLoop and play with the settings.

To open in FilmLoop, click on See it Big, and then click on Open in FilmLoop in the upper right corner.  If you don't have FilmLoop, you'll be asked to download it first. (It's free.)

New! Elephant Wire Service

Elephant Wire is a brand new photocasting service for creative professionals. A "tickertape" wire of images designed to assist professional photographers seeking assignment work. Elephant Wire is offering feeds of new images. 

Here's how it works:

1. First, download FilmLoop from http://www.filmloop.com. This small download takes just a couple of minutes and is easy to do. 

• On the FilmLoop web site, choose either the Windows or Macintosh download button.
• If you save the file to your disk, double click on the file and follow the steps to install.

2. Answer a few questions on the registration dialog

3. FilmLoop will start. You'll first see a "Welcome Loop" for FilmLoop.  If you want, you hide this Loop for now. Point your mouse over one of the images, pull down the "Actions" menu, and choose Hide Loop:

 

4. Now go to http://www.elephantwire.net/wires/. Click on any of the moving Loops that appear on that page. You're now subscribed to that feed of images.

FilmLoop will open the Elephant Wire Loop on your desktop:

Sit back and enjoy. Images will come directly to you. So long as you've subscribed to an Elephant Wire Loop, you will be automatically updated with images from that photographer.

To see images in more detail, click the image to go into the "Zoom View." To learn more about a particular image, click on the link "Click here to learn more..." in the zoom view.

 

In Zoom View you can use your right and left arrow keys to step through the images in detail.

Run your Elephant Wire as your screensaver!

See these beautiful images as your screensaver. Choose Screen Saver... from the Options menu:

Then select the Elephant Wire Loop from the screen saver pull down menu.
