We have a new release of the Macintosh Player for FilmLoop out today -- version 0.8.5. Here are the highlights of this release:
- Web/Blog/IM Link dialog: no fair that it took so long to add this to the Macintosh Player. But it's here now. Use this feature to add Loops to your Blogs. Anyone who clicks on the Loops on your Blog will automatically get FilmLoop and will get your Loop on their desktop. Why would you run Looplets? Let Guy Kawasaki tell you. Here's a link to his brilliant blog entry: Running Looplets in Blogs.
- Lots of stability and bug fixes: we're still in "pre-beta" but this version is significantly improved.
How to Upgrade
- Launch your current Macintosh version of FilmLoop -- version 0.8.1.
- You'll see a dialog box that tells you a new version is available.
- Click "update now."
- The installer window for 0.8.5 will open.
- Drag and drop the FilmLoop icon in this window to your application folder (or wherever you normally install applications).
- Launch 0.8.5 of FilmLoop.
All your existing Loops will be saved and stored. You will not lose any data.
